About MIBEX

MIBEX was founded by Michiel Bakker. Since 2008, MIBEX has been working full-time with explosion safety and we have fully focused on relevant laws and regulations. As a specialist in the field of ATEX and IECEx, MIBEX can assist manufacturers and end users in complying with the legislation and regulations in the field of explosion safety.

Through a large network, MIBEX works together with colleague consultants, each with their own specialism so that a total solution for the customer can always be offered. Flexibility, short lines and open communication are important here.

Through experience in product approval at KEMA Quality (nowadays DEKRA Certification) and good contacts with these and other notified bodies, in-depth knowledge about laws and regulations (ATEX 114) and above all the technical requirements (EN 60079 and ISO 80079 series standards), you are at the right place for advice and guidance in the development and application of your explosion-proof equipment (both electrical and mechanical).

Inspections, audits and training at end-users provide a lot of practical experience on the explosion risks and associated measures in the field. A good translation of theory to practice is the challenge here.

By participating in the Dutch Standards Committee for Explosion Safety NEC31 and NC341093, MIBEX is actively involved in the development of ATEX and IECEx standards and is always up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of explosion safety.
